Aaron Swartz was an early online pioneer.

He was known to be connected to the Namecoin project, and may have been involved with early Bitcoin, which was launched in January 2009.

In February 2009 the New York Times wrote an article about him.

Satoshi Nakamoto's next to last public post was made the following year in December.

"It would have been nice to get this attention in any other context. WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet's nest, and the swarm is headed towards us."

He was threatened by the FBI with a lengthy prison term if he did not help them criminalize people, and committed suicide at age 26.
